The Montien Hotel is perfectly situated directly opposite the lively Patpong Market, making it an incredibly convenient base for exploring all of Bangkok. For trips to MBK or Platinum Mall, you can easily hop on a tuk-tuk (200-250 Baht) or a taxi, both of which are readily available right at the hotel's doorstep. ATMs are conveniently located within the market, and the Kasikorn Thai Bank is only a minute’s walk down the road. A little tip for travelers: watch out for the tuk-tuk drivers who may stop by suit stores or time-shares as part of their quotas. If you're worried, booking a Grab is a reliable alternative. Facebook groups are also a fantastic resource for advice and recommendations, including hiring private drivers. As for the area, while Patpong is known for its ladyboy shows and clubs, there’s no need to let this deter you. The vibe around the hotel is surprisingly quiet and relaxed, and you won’t be hassled more than at any other market. A polite “no thank you” goes a long way. We stayed in two Deluxe King Rooms for our family (2 adults and 3 teens), and they were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—offering plenty of variety in a large, airy restaurant. Even the bathroom amenities stood out, with high-quality soaps and hair care products that felt like a nice touch. The staff were incredibly helpful and considerate, ensuring our check-in and check-out were smooth and stress-free. While the process isn’t as automated as what we’re used to in Australia, it’s handled efficiently and with care. Be prepared for a deposit upon check-in (ours was 8000 Baht), but this is standard across many hotels in Thailand. Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay at Montien Hotel. It’s a great choice for those looking for a central location with reliable service, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again!

The hotel is a wonderful surprise after it was renovated. The location is wonderful, the architecture itself is truly unique, and since hotels are no longer built with such heights and volumes of the foyer, the corridors and rooms that give air and comfort, I have been to the hotel several times before its renovation and it was really very tired from the decades in which it served its guests, now it can deservedly be ranked among one of the best hotels because it is both in the center of events and quiet. It should also not be forgotten that the rooms have become extremely modern, comfortable, comfortable, the staff is still responsive and smiling, you see many of the old faces who were there before the renovation, the hotel has a nice pool, it is located in a kind of courtyard facing the street, which gives it silence, comfort and tranquility, there are entrances from two streets, which makes it convenient for taxis and grab. A wonderful place that I highly recommend to people traveling in groups and people traveling alone. It is also convenient for families with small children and has all the amenities for all ages, so it is one of the pearls of Bangkok

First day arrived the lobby, it was so impressed of the staff, the doorman was so friendly, welcome drink also provided. and every staff was so welcome us. The decoration of lobby is modern, feel very refreshing! we booked deluxe room included breakfast, the breakfast was value for money, so many choices to choose. reasonable quantity of customers dine in the coffee shop, you really enjoyed the breakfast. Hotel room is spacious and clean, the king bed is so comfortable!!!!! The location is very convenient, take 2 more station MRT will be in Siam. Outside of hotel, there has so many authentic Japanese restaurants, we tried Nan-tei yakitori restaurant, it was so delicious. 😋😋 Night market just in front of the hotel, starting at 6pm every night. 10 mins walking distance to few shopping malls. small pharmacy, boots, etc you can find every single street, one big Jim Thompson shop also located there. So overall for my experience, hotel is value for the money, they provide high quality of service, I definitely will stay here again.

The location was great for malls only 20 mins walk/ 5 mins in a tuc tuc. We didn’t realise we were right next door to Patpong Market until we arrived, but once in the hotel grounds we were very happy with a prime location in close proximity to many bars, shops and restaurants. The decor is wonderful and the bed was comfortable. After three weeks around Thailand, I was upset to only have stayed one night here. It was the best night sleep and best shower we had in our time in Thailand. The bathroom was small but plenty big enough in the nice big shower. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful. i would definitely recommend staying here in Bangkok.

he hotel exceeded my expectations, especially given the price for a 5-star experience. The rooms were excellent, and both the room service and reception staff were incredibly helpful. Special mention to the security team at the entrance, who not only helped us with taxis but also offered great tips on dealing with TukTuk drivers and navigating local roadside shops. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to start the day. The location was also ideal, with most key landmarks within a 20-minute reach. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bangkok
